This is a published photograph of a farmer spreading manure on his fields. The accompanying caption on page 2 reads, "This month's cover shows Tom Ray of Star Route, Burnsville, with his new Oliver Crawler tractor and Oliver Manure Spreader. Mr. Ray traded an Old Oliver cletrac for his present one. He says that this Oliver is the tractor for his mountain farm. Mr. Ray operates a 300 acre farm with his Oliver. He raises chickens, corn and grain. He also has a herd of beef cattle.
